If you love to sit back and relax then Rhodes is perfect with a choice of lovely beaches. If you are a culture vulture then Rhodes will not disappoint. A trip any tourist should consider is a day trip to the old town of Rhodes. You will soon lose yourself amongst the old architecture but do think it is just another ruin to visit, it is not. The Old town is the only medieval town in Europe that is still occupied. People have been living and working here for over six centuries.
The old town of Rhodes is home to many shops, cafes, motifs, ancient fountains, churches and more. If ruins are your cup of tea, then a visit to the Lindos acropolis is a must. In fact, if you book the Aquagrand hotel, you are in the same resort and not far from this breath-taking site.
There are of course other trips that can be booked including boat trips to Turkey. You will not be disappointed booking an adults only holiday to Rhodes.

Food & Drink
If you are a foodie then Rhodes will not disappoint. As with most Greek islands, Rhodes prides itself on the fresh and probably best seafood you will find. We recommend you try Astako-makaronatha which is a Lobster pasta in a Tomato, Wine, Onion, Olive Oil, and Cinnamon sauce. Popular meats are pork and goat along with chicken. Greek food is full of flavor and the Rhodian’s enjoy cooking with spices. That said, there are international restaurants if Greek food is not to your liking.
One of the best restaurants we have eaten at is the Pegasus Restaurant in Ialyssos. The cuisine is traditionally Greek and they also offer some of the finest Pizzas found in Rhodes. You can book a table by calling +(30)2241091710.
The national drink is Ouzo but you can find a choice of local and international drinks at most bars and restaurants in Rhodes.
