Sharm el Sheikh is located on the coastal strip between the Red Sea and Mount Sinai in Egypt and is a holiday Mecca in no uncertain terms. This region is internationally known for its great diving sites, just off the coast where a rich diversity of marine life can be experienced. The weather during the peak summer months is hot, very hot and pale skinned northern Europeans should stay clear or be prepared to keep in the shade. The best time to visit Sharm is between the months of October through to April where you will enjoy the sunshine much better.
Sharm el Sheikh is a large area along the Red Sea coastline starting with Dahab in the north (about 90 km - 55 miles) from the center of Sharm and the resort offers some lovely relaxing all inclusive hotels and a great beach. Within Sharm itself the main three areas are Na'ama Bay, Nabq and Shark's Bay all offering something slightly different. However, unless you are sure that you wish to be in one of the three regions of Sharm, we advise you to run a general search for all resorts.
Besides excellent snorkelling and scuba diving, there are plenty of other watersports available if one feels like doing more than just soaking up the sun. Other activities include camel treks and horse riding, desert safaris, golf and health treatments. The resort also offers a choice of great waterparks to keep all ages happy. Add this to the vibrant nightlife with discos, casinos and nightclubs and nobody should ever complain of boredom. If you’re seeking an active holiday then Sharm el Sheikh could be ideal. If a cheap holiday in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt is what you’re looking for, then start saving money now and book all inclusive.
