Jamaica with its glorious array of sunsets, its alluring white sandy beaches and lush green mountains and sparkling waterfalls mixed with the unique and engaging ways of its people make this island a true Caribbean paradise. The natural beauty of this island paradise has drawn visitors for centuries and you only need to visit to see why. The island offers so much starting with its blue lagoons and white sandy beaches backed by green hills covered in sugar cane, banana palms and lush tropical vegetation.

Shopping

Montego Bay being the paradise for duty-free shopping has many moderately priced shops presenting everything right from toys to jewelry. Taj Mahal’s Duty Free Stores deal with jewelry, designer watches, crystals and many other things. Creative Floral Expressions can be visited for creatively arranged flowers for all special occasions. The main shopping complexes are the Montego Freeport, City Centre and the Holiday Village Shopping Centre. Old Fort Craft Park is the most visited one-stop shopping complex. There are plenty of shopping opportunities in Ocho Rios. The Harmony Hall, which is an art gallery, exhibits and sells paintings of different themes made by the local artists. Outside this hall tourists can see street vendors selling paintings of smaller frames. The craft market of Ocho Rios is a filled with locally made souvenirs like wooden sculptures, hand knit baskets, bags and hats, stuffed dolls, big beaded jewelry and t-shirts. There is one small but elegant shop in Runaway Bay that sells everything under a single roof. This shop houses fancy skirts, t-shirts, necklaces studded with Jamaican precious stones and other goodies.

Nightlife

Nightlife is a bit low-key in Montego Bay. The most frequented night spots are Marguerite’s Seafood by the Sea and Margueritaville Sports Bar and Grill, both in the Gloucester Avenue. There are decent collections of night venues in Ocho Rios. Restaurant Magaritaville has a discotheque, where travellers can dance to rocking music. Local women are hired in all the night spots to dance seductively.

Head to the beach

In Montego Bay the Doctor’s Cave Beach with clear waters is one of the popular beaches on the island and is most frequented by the tourists. The beach of Ocho Rios is decked with sun umbrellas and sun beds, where travellers can relax watching the roaring waters. Runaway Bay is a Jamaican resort located just 11 miles away from the town of Ocho Rios. Unlike the neighbouring resorts this is a serene resort with miles long sandy beach

They will give you a kiss and allow you to caress them while standing in knee deep water. This adventure is best for those who are not comfortable swimming in the sea and the very young. This also is a young family favourite as it gives the little ones a chance to interact with one of the world’s most beautiful creatures. Enjoy snorkelling and interacting with stingrays (barbs removed), glass bottom kayaking, and captaining your own Mini Boat in the Caribbean Sea. Take a stroll and interact with exotic birds, snakes and other animals on the Jungle Trail. Watch the spectacular Shark Show and learn about the marine world. Sample the tropical fruits and spices. Bob Marley Fan Tour This tour is for the true Bob Marley fans. The excursion starts with a drive along the north coast and then up through the mountains to the town of Nine Miles, which is the birth and final resting place of the reggae legend. Tour through the home and have the local Rastafarians recant the stories of the late singer’s youth. After this visit, continue through the mountains and across the island to Jamaica's capital city, Kingston, where we will visit the two Bob Marley Museums: The Bob Marley Museum in uptown Kingston and the also the ghetto of Trench Town. We stop at Usain Bolt’s Tracks and Records in Kingston for lunch (not included). It is a full day trip, but ideal for every Bob Marley fan. Meeting/pick-up point: Pick up at the hotel. Dunn's River Falls and 9 Miles The day begins with a journey along the North Coast towards to resort town of Ocho Rios, once a small fishing village but now a bustling resort town. Here you will visit the world famous Dunn's River falls, with the help of your guide, you’ll climb 600 feet to the top of this magnificent waterfall that’s tiered like a wedding cake. Stop for a swim in the refreshing rock pools. With the help of your guide, it will be an easy climb that everyone can enjoy! After the falls, you’ll have a tour of the town of Ocho Rios with a stop for souvenir shopping and to enjoy a typical Jamaican lunch. Next you’ll head off on a drive through small market towns and hills to 9 Mile, the birth and final resting place of reggae superstar Bob Marley. Hear the story of his childhood and rise to stardom.


Bubbling Springs and Black River Safari Cruise the Black River, the longest navigated river in Jamaica and home to crocodiles. The Captain knows them by name and calls them to come to the boat for feeding. Bubbling springs is known for its "healing" waters. Ideal for those suffering from arthritis pain, back, knee pain and migraines. And it's also fun for relaxation too! Black River, the longest river in Jamaica, is a great place to explore remote mangrove swamps and to catch a glimpse of native species such as crocodiles living in their natural habitats. White Witch Golf Carved from the rolling countryside of Jamaica’s historic Rose Hall Estate is the White Witch, an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Robert von Hagge and Rick Baril. This 6,800 yard, par 71 treasure is named for the former sugar estate’s beautiful but wicked mistress, Annee Palmer. Legend has it that Annee’s ghost still haunts the grounds, creating an alluring mystique that has fascinated island natives and visitors for generations. 16 of 18 holes offer views of the Caribbean Sea/native stone inlaid walls shoring up greens and tees/at least 5 tee boxes on every hole/dramatic elevation changes and Caribbean vistas/large practice greens and bunkers. Duration: 9 holes = 1.5-2 hours; 18 holes = 4 hours. Start/opening time: At 7am. -End/closing time: At. 6pm. Languages: English.


Negril sunset and dolphin cove admission Start your day with a visit to Dolphin Cove Sandy Bay. Spend some time enjoying the park. See the dolphins swimming in the lagoon or enjoy the hilarious shark show. After your dolphin encounter continue to the resort town of Negril. Your driver will take you to Margaretville Negril where you will spend the afternoon enjoying everything that Negril Beach has to offer. At around 4:30pm your driver will return and take you by car/bus to Ricks Cafe. Enjoy the time at the bar, watch the cliff divers, have a red stripe or take a swim in the cool Caribbean waters. Montego Bay city tour We will show you the highlights of the city: Downtown Busy, noisy but refreshingly real. This is not quite what people think of as a tourist attraction. However, this is the best place to go and experience the "real" Jamaica, Montego Bay residential neighbourhood, Hip Strip is home to some famous spots ranging from sun-splashed shores awash with crystal-clear water to interesting shops offering a slice of authentic Jamaican apparel and restaurants that double as venues for events and amazing live entertainment. The Hip Strip is also known for some great Caribbean sunsets and tropical panoramic views of the bay, and two stops at souvenir shops. Meeting/pick-up point: Pick up at hotel only in Montego Bay. Duration: One and a half hours. Start/opening time: Wednesday and Thursday at 4.30pm. Languages: English.
