The Caribbean is becoming more and more popular with the British tourist mainly due to lower airfares and the wide introduction of all inclusive packages. Cuba and the Dominican Republic offer great value-for-money and you should opt for at least a four-star accommodation as the facilities and food are more to our liking. Many tourist actually never leave the holiday complex as several are massive offering their own beach and entertainment programmes. It should be remembered that it isn’t wise to venture out alone on many of the Caribbean islands but completely safe if you’re in a group or on an organized excursion.

The best time to visit the Caribbean is in our winter as the summers can get rather warm and sticky. If you’re not used to the heat then you must ensure your accommodation offers air conditioning as standard. Barbados enjoys 340 days of sunshine a year and has numerous well-developed amenities, an excellent nightlife and friendly inhabitants, making it one of the most desirable holiday destinations. For centuries Jamaica was only for the rich tourist but now most people can afford to visit the island especially with the value-for-money all inclusive hotels opening up on the western and northern shores. There’s so much to do in the Caribbean apart from lying on the beach and listening to the beat of the reggae music. It’s really up to you what you do but I bet you’ll need to keep coming to do the things you just never got around to this time.

Stop dreaming and Go-there.
