Holidays in the Canary Isles
The Canary isles consist of seven islands with the main four being Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. All offer great year-round sunshine holidays.
Tenerife is the largest and busiest of the Canary Islands and measures 37 miles wide by 60 miles long. The southern part of the island is the warmest part (especially during the winter months) but the northern part is the greenest and may suit the more mature traveller.
On Gran Canaria the main resort is Playa del Ingles which translated means the Englishmans beach and during the peak season the name is 100% correct. The Brits just love it and keep coming back for more sun, sand and San Miguels. It has a wide sandy beach which runs from San Agustin in the north to Maspalomas in the south. Playa del Ingles offers tourist everything they could ever possibly need for a lively holiday including a very busy nightlife, bars, restaurants and ample shops.
On Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen is the largest and offers everything the holiday maker needs including a lively nightlife. It has a two-mile long stretch of golden sandy beach and on the other side of the road you can find an area called The Strip where all the bars, restaurants and shops can be found.
The busiest resort on Fuerteventura is Caleta de Fuste (locals call it Castillo), and if you're seeking nightlife then this is the place to be. The long main high street has several restaurants, bars and nightclubs so youll be spoilt for choice.
Stop dreaming and Go-there.
